The 2-pin female connectors allow you to connect motors to the pins of the Bidi daughterboard (Bidirectional Motor Reversal).
They come with pre-wired brown and red wires, which can be soldered directly onto the motors or onto longer wires connected to them.
Example of motor connections on the Motor & Reversal Bidi Board.
They are also useful for extending the wire between the sensitive part of certain sensors and the small board that goes with it.
