Magnets
- Neodymium magnets
- With local Magnetometer sensor.
Description
Our analog magnet sensors and our magnetic switches detect the approach of a magnet.
There are many different types of magnet, varying in size, shape, material, range...
After testing and validating them with our sensors, we've come up with a small selection. They are silver coloured and shiny.
By default, our analog magnet sensor is supplied with an 8 mm diameter, 1.8 mm thick round magnet.
By default, our magnetic switch is supplied with an 5 mm diameter, 1.8 mm thick round magnet.
Shapes, sizes and ranges
Our tests were made with a Magnet sensor set on its highest sensitivity. The greatest detection distance that we retained corresponds to the sensor's minimal reaction.
Disks
5 mm diameter x 1,8 mm thickness : range 6 cm
8 mm diameter x 1,8 mm thickness : range 8,5 cm
Cubes
5 x 5 x 5 mm sides : range 8 cm.
Spheres
5 mm diameter : range 7 cm
3 mm diameter
