Servo motors are controlled motors used for positioning. They are easy to control to create a pendulum motion or a back-and-forth movement over a quarter circle.
These motors follow the standard servo protocol and can be powered by 5 volts. They can be controlled in real time, meaning they respond to all commands sent by a dedicated 8-Servo (MIDI or DMX) or 4-Servo 4-PWM board. Torque means that the motor can lift an object weighing up to 1.5 kg if it is centered on its axis, that it can lift a 150-gram object if the lever arm is 10 cm, and so on, with the maximum load decreasing as the distance from the axis increases.
