The Ribbon Board is part of our Mini-Transistors range: it is compact and designed for low-power actuators such as LEDs and LED strips, whether monochrome, tricolored, or quadrichromic. It can also control small DC motors with speed variation. It has 8 outputs, and dimming is achieved using PWM (Pulse Width Modulation).

As an actuator daughter board, it must be connected to a control board to function. There are multiple possibilities:

Compact in size, it can be easily integrated into an installation. However, it requires an external power supply to operate and power the actuators it controls—12V for common LED strips, for example.

Maximum current per output: 1.25 Amps.

To calculate the power consumption of the actuator being controlled, use the formula:

P = U x I

Power (Watt) = Voltage (Volt) x Current (Ampere)
Therefore, I = P / U

For example, a 1-meter 9W LED strip, at 12V, consumes 0.75A and is compatible with the Ribbon Board. However, the same strip at 5 meters consuming 3.75A is not compatible and should be controlled with a High-Power Transistor Board capable of tolerating up to 14A.

We have opted not to include terminal blocks on this board to save space and reduce costs. Actuators can either be soldered directly to the connection pins or mounted on compatible female connectors. Numerous versions are available on the market, and we offer one with a keying feature.
