Servomotors are controlled motors allowing objects to be placed in precise positions. This model does not rotate continuously: it can rotate approximately a quarter turn or a half turn (depending on the board it is connected to).
These motors can be controlled in real time by the dedicated 8-Servomotor board, the ZIP board, or the 4-Servo 4-PWM board (Midi or DMX). For more information on servo motors, see the Servomotors page.
We offer an economical model on this page with the following technical specifications:
The torque means that the motor can move an object weighing up to 1.2 kg if it is centered on its axis, that it can move an object of 120 grams if the lever arm is 10 cm, etc., the possible load decreasing with the distance of the object from the axis of rotation.

Blue Mini-servomotor.
These motors are basic models, powered by 5 Volts, and obey all the commands of the 8 Servo board.

Connecting a mini-servo to a noise suppression filter.
Here are the components usefull for connecting servomotors on the actuators boards.
Motors can be directly plugged on the control boards, using their 3-ways connectors. Anyway these wires are short. For alternative plugging you can see :
