A rotary connector is also called a rotary collector, slip ring, sliding spring, or collector ring.
It is a mechanism that allows electricity to be transmitted along a rotating axis.
Example: A light turns on and off on a continuously rotating platform, a speaker rotates back and forth while playing sound, or a sensor at the end of a small crane arm needs to send a signal beyond a rotating axis...
In all these cases, without a rotary connector, continuous rotation would not be possible because electrical wires would twist, tangle, and eventually break.
The rotary connector allows for mobile electrical contacts to be inserted along the wires.
The connector consists of two mechanical parts and wires.
The stator side must be secured using three screws or nuts. It anchors the wires on one side of the mechanism.
The rotor side rotates freely and outputs a bundle of 6 or 8 wires
Rotation speed: Maximum 250 rotations per minute
Number of wires / channels / ways: 6 or 8
Nominal voltage: 240V AC/DC
Nominal current: 1.5 Amps per channel
Wire specification: AWG30 silver-plated Teflon UL
Wire length (each side of the connector): 24 cm
3 M3 mounting holes for the fixed part
